Brian is the Founder and Director of the Bronx Wellness Center. His idea to create a holistic medicine clinic began after spending nine months treating patients as an acupuncture intern at the Montefiore Medical Group clinics in the Bronx. What originally began as a scientific study on the efficacy of acupuncture on musculoskeletal disorders, led to the conception of BCWC after the study was concluded in August 2011. The study’s great success opened the doors and sparked the pursuit for establishing this wellness center; to provide acupuncture, massage, herbal medicine, nutritional guidance, and health education to the residents of the Bronx.

Brian received his Masters of Science in Acupuncture after an intensive four-year program at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, one of the nation’s leading schools for acupuncture, massage, Chinese herbal medicine, and integrative medicine. Although his extensive training has prepared him to treat all the ailments that acupuncture is effective for, he focuses on the treatment of pain, particularly due to sports and dance injuries, as well as those stemming from emotional roots. Additionally, he has an extensive patient following for his success in treating digestive and gynecological disorders and infertility.

With the hunger for learning and improving his skills, Brian returned to school to acquire the knowledge and training to obtain a License in Massage Therapy and has taken several workshops since graduating from PCOM over 10 years ago. He is certified in Neurofunctional Acupuncture, Facial Revitalization Acupuncture, as well as Neck and Facelift Massage.

As a leading provider in the field, he has been selected to speak at the New York Society of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation’s Integrative Medicine Workshop in 2014, 2015 and 2016 as well as at the NYS Pain Society’s Annual Meeting and Scientific Session in March 2017.

Having a master’s in education, Brian also has a passion for learning and teaching. As a teacher, his immediate goal is to educate his patients about the interconnection of the body and mind, and the importance of a well-balanced lifestyle. Accordingly, he became an independent health coach for the highly successful weight loss programs Take Shape for Life, and Team Beachbody. Additionally, he immersed himself in extensive training regarding vitamin supplementation and has become a consultant for the Nutrametrix line of vitamins. With these tools, he has been able to change many people’s lives by helping them find optimal health following an effective weight-loss regimen, nutritional coaching, cardiovascular fitness and effective vitamin supplementation.

As a life-time student, he has recently obtained his is Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine, after completing an intensive program in Herbal Medicine. He also studied Active Release Technique, the most advanced certification program in the field of Manual Therapy.
